Over 50 Years as an Innovative Partner to the Construction Industry
For more than 50 years, we have been a reliable manufacturer of high-quality decoupling and impact sound insulation panels, as well as insulating and protective sleeves. In addition, we offer textile dartboards, textile surrounds, and dart or mini-golf mats for the darts sport.
Our company’s history began in 1973 with the founding of a gas and water installation business and metalworking shop by Walter Vöst. Over the years, the founder’s inventiveness led to the development of new and innovative products for the construction, renovation, and refurbishment sectors. A milestone was the development of the VÖWAflex® non-woven sleeve, which serves as a protective and insulating sleeve for cold, hot, and wastewater pipes. This was followed by the development and market launch of another product: our Vitherm® insulation panel, which is made from recycled polyester-based production residues.
Sustainability, which VÖWA has practiced for over 40 years, is at the heart of what we do. We rely on environmentally friendly production methods and the reuse of materials in the manufacture of our products. All our production takes place exclusively in Germany, which allows us to ensure the highest quality standards.
As a medium-sized company, we are proud to offer our customers innovative solutions that are both functional and sustainable.
We look forward to supporting you in your projects and shaping a better future together.
Sustainability & Recycling – Our Commitment to the Future
At a time when environmental protection and resource conservation are becoming increasingly important, VÖWA GmbH is committed to sustainable development and recycling. Through our ongoing developments and dedication to sustainability and recycling, we have been setting standards for more than 40 years.
In 1974, we developed a non-woven sleeve that serves as a protective and insulating layer for cold, hot, and wastewater pipes. This sleeve not only provides effective insulation but also contributes to the longevity and efficiency of piping systems.
Another significant step was the market introduction of an insulation panel in 1984, made from production residues. By recycling over 300 tons of textile materials per month that would otherwise end up as waste, we make a significant contribution to the circular economy and actively help conserve natural resources.
In collaboration with colleges and universities, we demonstrate how upcycling can work technically and how viable market-ready products can be developed from it.
Examples from recent years include the production of panels from yogurt and milk cups, straw, sneakers, old clothes, PVC coatings, foamed polyurethane, and more.
Every product we manufacture is a step toward more environmentally conscious construction.
Research & Development – Our Contribution to Innovation
In the field of research and development, we continuously work on improving and innovating our insulation panels and protective sleeves. Our goal is to develop efficient, sustainable, and durable insulation products that meet the growing demands across various industries.
We aim to explore new materials and technologies to optimize thermal and acoustic insulation, minimize energy loss, and promote environmental protection. In doing so, we place great emphasis on quality, environmental compatibility, and user-friendliness.
